Differences in the middle of Thhn Wire Uf-B and assistance entry Cable

Electrical Wire

There is all distinct types of electrical wiring for distinct applications. We will break it down for you piece by piece. Most coarse terms for copper electrical wire would be construction wire, Thhn /Thwn, Romex wire, Uf-B Cable and Type Se (service entry cable). All of these copper wires and cables have their own advantages and disadvantages based on the individual wiring application. Each one will be described in more information below. construction Wire is just an additional one broad term used in the same way as electrical wire. Since it's used mostly in the construction / construction field its become a popular term.

50 Ft Usb Cables

Thhn / Thwn Wire

Thhn / Thwn-2 copper electrical wire is the most basic form of electrical wire which is used in houses, buildings and control circuits not exceeding 600 Volts. All of our Thhn electrical wire is dual rated with Thwn-2 because the Thwn is so popular that South Wire (Largest Electrical wire manufacturer in the Usa) decided to put both ratings on all their Thhn construction wire. It's composed of soft drawn bare copper strands, covered with a Pvc (Polyvinyl Chloride) insulation and a nylon coating for easy installation in cable tray. The 18 awg through 10 awg come in stranded or solid copper. The stranded wire is more flexible, while the solid wire is easier to run / snake through tough areas.

More specifically, Thhn wire is run through houses and buildings to light switches, electrical outlets and light fixtures. The smaller gauge sizes of Thhn is most generally sold in 500' spools which a lot of suppliers won't cut. WesBell Electronics will cut the #18 - #10 to 100' spools and cut the #8 - 1000 mcm per foot! That's right, you can buy 1 foot of wire if needed! WesBell understands that every application is distinct and doesn't want contractors to have to suffer excess copper wire. When adding that into the the resale price it could cost you the job! Buy exact lengths, get exact quotes and don't have any extra copper at the end of it! Copper has jumped back up to over .00/lb, so every foot of wire counts!

Romex Wire

Romex copper electrical wires and cables are made up of multiple Thhn / Thwn wires (conductors). Example; Romex 12/2 is 2 Thhn wires and a bare uninsulated ground wire covered with an whole Pvc jacket. This way electrical contractors only have to run one bulk wire instead of whether running 3 cut off wires or individually running each wire. Romex wire is Only used for indoor applications. It has No safety against moisture, gas or solvents. It should Not be used outdoors even if it's in cable tray.

Uf-B Cable

Uf-B (Underground Feeder) copper electrical wires and cables are a little upgrade from Romex wiring. It has the same conception of Thhn conductors wrapped with a jacket except it's a more complicated jacket. The bonus to Uf-B Cable is that it can go outdoors and even directly underground. There's no need for conduit or cable tray and the price disagreement isn't that significant. If you need the cable to go outdoors at all make sure you get Uf-B instead of Romex because it's not worth the hassle of replacing the Romex down the road over something approximately 10-15% higher in cost.

Service entry Cable Type Se

Sometimes you will see an "R" (Ser) or a "U" (Seu) after the Type Se. The R stands for round (more common) and the U stands for flat. Southwire Type Se electrical cable, aid entry cable is primarily used to transport power from the aid drop to the meter base and from the meter base to the distribution panel board; however, the cable may be used in all applications where Type Se cable is permitted. Ser may be used in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C. Voltage rating is 600 volts. Southwire Type Se cable is constructed with sunlight unyielding Type Xhhw-2 conductors or Type Thhn/Thwn conductors.

Copper conductors are annealed (soft) copper. Cable assembly plus reinforcement tape are jacketed with sunlight unyielding gray polyvinyl chloride (Pvc). Ready as 1 conductor with a concentric ground, 2 conductor with a round or concentric ground, or 3 conductor with a bare ground. Se cable is jacketed with gray sunlight unyielding polyvinyl chloride (Pvc).

How to Guide - Connecting Your Laptop to Hdtv Or Tv

I'm writing this guide after being asked a few times on ways to connect a laptop to a Tv. People want to accomplish this for some reasons. First, it's great for presentations at work, school, or home. It's also favorable for viewing pictures and videos to friends, watching Dvds, and it is now even being used for viewing Blu-ray and other high definition article on the Hdtv.

First, we want to make sure you're getting the most out of your laptop when it comes to displaying it on the Tv.

50 Ft Usb Cables

  • If you have an Hdtv with Hdmi inputs, check if your laptop has an Hdmi output. If it does, you're in luck! Your Hdtv can display from your laptop in Hd resolutions. All you need is an Hdmi cable to connect them. If your Hdtvs Hdmi inputs are used up already. An Hdmi switch would be the best clarification for you. We contribute switches that can connect up to 5 separate Hdmi sources to 1 Hdmi input.
  • If you don't have an Hdmi production on the laptop, check if it has a Dvi output. Some Asus, and Dell laptops have them. If you do, you can connect your laptop to an Hdtv with an Hdmi to Dvi cable. They are both digital cables so this will produce the same Hd resolutions as a appropriate Hdmi cable.
  • If your laptop doesn't have Hdmi or Dvi out, it should have a Vga output. Connecting with Vga is capable of high resolutions. However, separate Tvs hold separate resolutions with Vga. You must check the maximum resolution your Tv model supports with Vga.
  • Pretty much all laptops come with an S-Video output. It's not going to be as great of a picture, but it will assuredly do the job with an S-Video cable.

After you have connected your chosen cable, boot up your laptop and see if it has detected your Tv. If not, you have to go into your display properties and look for the settings that will enable your Tv to display from your laptop. Where to find the setting will vary depending on your graphics card (just look around). If you are having trouble getting your Tv to show a picture, make sure you have updated the display drivers on your laptop. Now you're probably going to want sound from something other than your laptop speakers. So you can select to production it to your Tv, or blast it from your home theater audio receiver.

  • The best way to connect audio to your Tv or receiver is straight through a digital audio cable. Both a digital coaxial cable or Toslink visual audio cable will work great for crisp high potential audio. Just make sure your laptop has whether a digital coaxial or an visual audio output. Some laptops use the headphone jack to duplicate as a digital coaxial (S/Pdif) output. If you use this method, your going to need a 3.5mm to Rca adapter with a digital coaxial cable. If your laptop has none of these outputs and you still assuredly want that high potential sound. Don't worry! You can still get an external (Usb) sound card that has digital coaxial out or visual out. I recommend the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Sb1090 with Toslink visual audio out.
  • Another way, which won't want any add-ons, is to use the headphone (3.5mm) jack on your laptop to the Rca (red and white) inputs on your Tv or receiver. To do this, all you need is a 3.5mm to 2 Rca adapter with a 2 Rca audio cable.

I know all of these cables can seem confusing to you. If you're having trouble finding out what each cable looks like or find out more about a cable, check out the Cable Guide at CableTrain.com. All of these cables are ready for you on our website as well. I hope you can now successfully connect your laptop to the Tv in the best way possible!

What is Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable?

In a loose tube, fiber is well shielded from being affected by the surrounding cable elements. By stranding the tube, it is also potential to establish in strain relief from both climatic characteristic changes and mechanical forces.

For these reasons, some variations of the loose tube buildings have found full, use. The loose tube cables are, however, more difficult to desist and connectorize as compared to the tight buffered fiber cables.

"Fiber Optic Cable"

fiber optic cable tester

The loose tube can be air filled, but very often a filling gel (compound) is used. The purpose of the filling blend is to preclude water penetration, and it also restricts fiber movements since the blend is much more viscous than air.

If water is present, it can freeze and cause microbends. Water has also a detrimental result on the mechanical impel of the fiber.

The loose tube is ordinarily made of a plastic and has an inner diameter of typically 4-5 times that of the former coated fiber.

Loose tube materials for loose tube cables need to possess a relatively high modulus and good processability. While manufacture, optical fiber is fed into the loose tube at a faster rate than it is being produced so that the optical fiber is laid helically within the tube.

To buffer the fibers from each other and from any perturbations on the tube walls, the loose tube is filled with a gel blend similar in blend to the water blocking gels in accepted telecommunication cables. The loose tube material must therefore be compatible with the gel as in accepted cable insulation.

Polypropylene has been used for loose tube but more recently, polyethylene have come to be more widely used.

Xbox 360 Kinect Usb postponement

Out of the Box

Recently I was able to get my hands on one of the new Xbox Kinects. For those who don't know the Xbox Kinect is Microsoft's sass to the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation Move. It is essentially a camera that you mount above or below your Tv and it senses your movements then translates them into movements in your video game. For instance, in a driving game you take put your arms in front of you and pretend to drive a car. It works alright for the most part but it does take a while to get use to. Any way one problem that I have run into with the Kinect is the way you join together the Kinect to your Tv (No pun intended).

"50 Foot Extension Cord For Microsoft Kinect"

Cable Troubles

The Xbox Kinect comes out of the box with a 9 foot cable. This is a tiny problem with the way my Home Theater is set up. See my home has the Tv Mounted on the Wall and I have my Xbox elsewhere in a near by closet. This is much supplementary then 9 feet.

After seeing nearby for a way to extend the cable, most of what I was seeing was the Microsoft branded extension cable that will run you about 50 dollars and it is only 10ft extension. Still not good enough for my needs. So I started seeing at Usb extension cables. The Xbox Kinect, when you buy it on its own, will come with a Usb converter cable that turns the special Kinect cable into a Usb connection. So I started trying out a few separate extension cables that I had ready to me.

Active and Passive Usb Extensions

I first tried out a thorough 6 foot Passive Usb extension. This did not work what so ever. The Kinect would not recognize that it was even plugged into the Xbox. I then tried out an active extension cable. I used a Sewell 16ft Active extension cable (you can get them at assorted places but I find this one to be the best deal)

After testing the Active extension cable it worked great. After plugging it in, the Kinect fired right up and the Xbox recognized the Kinect instantly. The guys at Sewell say they have tested it with these 16ft cables while daisy chaining them all together and have said it works. They even have a YouTube showing how it works.

Bigger Does Not always Mean Better...

I also was able to try a 33 foot active extension cable and it did not work. For some presume you can daisy chain the 16 foot extensions together but the 33 foot extensions do not work. Most likely it needs the active repeaters to be at those 16 foot intervals or it cant keep the signal constant. So if you need to extend your Xbox Kinect grab yourself a combine Usb Active extension cables and you should be fine.

Note: Make sure that you have the Usb association on your Kinect and not the special Xbox Kinect connection, if you have one of those and not a Usb, then you will have to buy the converter or just go for the expensive Microsoft cable

Also if you have a PlayStation Move, these also join together via Usb so you can use the same cables for those as well. Sewell Direct has a video of testing them with the Move and it seems to have the same limitations, you have to use the 16ft extension cables and not the 33 ft extension cables

Don't Fall - Use Ladders Safely on the Job Site

Construction is one of the most perilous jobs in America, and falls are the prominent cause of on the job building fatalities. Every year more than 50 citizen die and someone else 8500 are seriously injured in falls from ladders. Amazingly, most ladder-related deaths supervene from a fall of ten feet or less. Here are some tips on safe use of ladders on building sites. They're base sense and easy to implement, and they can make the dissimilarity in the middle of coming home safe and riding an ambulance to the hospital.

  • Use the right ladder for the job. Be sure that the ladder you'll use is long adequate so that you don't step higher on it than you should- for an extension ladder, the 4th step from the top; for a step ladder, the second step from the top. Check the duty rating sticker on the ladder to be sure it's rated for your weight.
  • Always study the ladder before you use it. Check the steps and footings for cracks, bends, and splits. Check for the connections where the step meets the side rails. Look for loose bolts or broken rivets. Be sure the ring locks and spreader braces are sound and working smoothly.
  • Choose a safe location to set your ladder. select firm, level footing. If the ground isn't level and firm, set a board under the ladder to supply a good footing. Stay away from doorways and walkways, and places where cars pass. Check for overhead wires and other hazards above you.
  • Secure your ladder top and bottom. Tie the ladder to a stake or other anchor at the bottom. At the top, tie it to the structure. A secured ladder won't torque or twist on you. Once you've secured the ladder, clear the area around its base of debris and other hazards. Mark it with cones, and if it's a high traffic location, cordon off the work area with cable or tape.
  • Maintain three-point perceive as you climb. Face the ladder. Both your hands and one foot should all the time be on the ladder. That means that you shouldn't be carrying your gear as you climb. Small hand tools on a belt are okay, but any other gear should be hauled up by rope or hoist.
  • Only one someone on a ladder. Wait until the employee ahead of you has gotten to the top of the ladder and stepped off.
  • Don't. Don't use a stepladder unopened. It's not stable. Don't move a ladder by walking it. Get off it and move it. Don't sit on the steps of a ladder; they weren't built for that.

50 Ft Usb Cable Extension

Making sure your ladder is safe will take a few minutes. It's a trade-off, a few minutes of care can make the dissimilarity in the middle of a life of healthy working and a life of pain and disability, or no life at all. If you or a loved one has suffered a serious job-site injury, and you believe failure to study ladder security was a contributing cause, you may have a claim of negligence against the manager or subcontractor. You will want to discuss your claim with an experienced building injury lawyer as soon as possible, while witnesses' memories are fresh and before vital evidence is lost or destroyed. California has statutes of limitations, laws which limit the time duration within which you may contend distinct claims or file distinct lawsuits. If you do not file your claim within the statutory time limit, your right to compensation can be forever lost.

Smallest Covert Spy Cameras - The Top Three

Hidden spy cameras and covert spy cameras have been around for a long time. They used to be very cumbersome, difficult to operate and expensive. Technological advances have changed all that and made them smaller, easier to use and very affordable.

The purpose of all spy cameras is to document habitancy doing things they shouldn't be doing. They previously were used only by law enforcement agencies and inexpressive investigators but anymore because of those technological advances, they can be used by whatever to document wrongdoing.

50 Foot USB Cable

50 foot usb cable

Since, by their very nature, they are covert size does play a role in how productive they are. All spy cameras are inexpressive inside objects that habitancy are used to seeing all the time whether in their home, office or business. You don't want to draw any concentration to them to begin with so the smaller they are the better.

Here are three of the smallest inexpressive spy cameras. See if one of them doesn't suit your needs.

1. One of the tiniest is a Bic lighter spy camera. Inside the lighter is a board camera, a high-resolution Dvr and a sound activated microphone. It produces excellent video resolution and can narrative audio and video within a 50 foot range. It also takes still pictures. You can use and hold a micro Sd card up to 8 Gb in size. The sound activation level is 65 dB which is normal speaking volume. To play back, insert this mini Dvr into your Usb port so you have no messing around with cables.

2. One of my favorites is a new ball Motion Activated Dvr. It has a built-in camera, microphone, flash memory, Mp3 player and a rechargeable battery. It can be worn around your neck with an included necklace or on your arm with the included armband. It is smaller than a regulation size golf ball. All video is date time stamped.

3. Can you imagine a remote car key fob that has a inexpressive spy camera inside it? Not only is it a spy camera but it also has a Dvr that comes with a 2 Gb Sd card. It will hold up to 16 Gb cards. It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and is 2 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. Someone else model has a 4 Gb St card included for a slightly higher cost. The included Usb cable can be used to download the videos and recharge the car key fob.

These are three of the smallest. Whichever model you pick you can rest assured it will do the job for you-document wrongdoings of others.

Cable management Tips For Computers

Computers are getting more advanced, especially wireless technology and connectivity, but it will probably be some time until a unblemished wireless office is a reality. Until then, computer work areas are going to need cable supervision for optimum security and optic acceptance.

Cable supervision includes clamping, labeling and routing. There are assorted products to bundle cables together:

50 Ft Usb Cable Extension

o Spiral Wrapping - This can be wrapped colse to cables without disconnecting them. It is flexible so routing of the bundle is easy.

o Flexo Wrap - A hook and loop expandable sleeve designed for quick and easy bundling and security of wire, cable

o Cable Ties - These are nylon ties available in assorted lengths and colors. They can just bundle a group of cables or gain to someone else item.

o Velcro® Ties - These are similar to cable ties, but using Velcro®. Some have a mounting hole to gain to a something solid.

o Cable supervision Box - Made from plastic and holds up to seven cables. About 15" in distance and 4" wide with self-adhesive emblem for mounting.

o Clips & Clamps - There are assorted personel clips and clamps to mount cables to a stationary object.

To start cable management, group cables ordinarily going to the same destination. Don't bundle power cables with data cables if the run is more than a few feet. The electrical field from a power cable can sometime interfere with data signals (Usb, network, printers, etc)

Next, gain the cables together with tie or wrap. Pay attentiveness to routing since bundling a group of cables together sometime requires a cable to be longer than it assuredly is.

If there is a surge protector, position it for easy routing of power cables. Power adapter units sometime take two spaces when plugging into a power strip. Use a universal power cord adapter to alleviate the problem. This is a one foot power cord extension that allows the power adapter to be placed about a foot from the power strip allowing use of all the receptacles.

After implementing cable management, all the cables will be more gain and look a lot better!

Should I Pay an Appearance Fee to Appear on a Tv Show?

The man you are seeing interviewed on Tv might have paid for that spot.

It's true.

50 Ft Usb Cable Extension

There seems to be a new trend going on among local Tv shows as well as cable news shows to sell interview spots to authors, speakers and company population for fees ranging from 0 to ,500.

While this isn't illegal, the institution is disturbing. As a viewer, I expect the news directors and producers and reporters to carefully resolve who they want to interview for their spot segments. These population should be interesting, newsworthy, and controversial or pass the normal litmus test of "news."

It could be hard news like a politician defending her views. It could be the head of a charity group talking about some feel-good event he is promoting, or anyone in between. They all have one thing in common: a news man felt they passed the test.

But there appears to be a pay-for-play element creeping into the news biz. Producers are nothing else but request possible guests to pony up a few hundred or thousand dollars to appear on their shows.

The spots are labeled as news, not advertising.

One of my clients says the producer told her this was part of a new trend called "branded entertainment." There's even a Wikipedia entry about this! The producer said that infomercials aren't working any longer, so this form of 5-minute interview tied to a news show is the new, curious shiny object that population are chasing after. an additional one client said that he can get a contract to appear on a local Tv show for 50 segments for 0 a pop.

Apparently, I'm the last man to know about this (or maybe you are). But the cat is out of the bag. Tv stations want to make money and they are seeing to guests to foot the bill.

What should you do?

First, remember that there still are legitimate Tv shows that will be horrified to hear about this trend. I don't think Oprah or Regis or Ellen or Piers will allow pay-for-play.

Second, I'm sure there are late-night talk shows that have always operated on a quid-pro-quo basis that allowed celebrities to come on to a show to promote their movies or their books. That's where the industrial line begins to blur. But it's been going on for a zillion years and isn't about to stop.

That puts us back on point. What should you do if a producer from a real Tv shows asks for money?

First, resolve if this is a real show or not. There are lots of associates that claim to be Tv shows that will film you for a fee and say they will air the episode. But they are frauds. Whether they don't air the show, or the show is viewed by a very small audience. It's a scam.

Second, if the show is legit (as the above two cases with my clients show), then resolve if you can win. Ask yourself: "Will the money I invest make me as much or more money?"

For example, if I pay 0 to appear on this show, will I sell 0 of books, consulting, coaching, speaking or products?

If the retort is "Yes," then go for it. That's what advertising is supposed to do.

But beware:

1. Don't commit yourself to a long-term contract you can't get out of. You might have good success in the beginning. But if the sales start to diminish, you could lose your shirt.

2. Make sure the show nothing else but does reach your target audience. It is nice to be asked to be on a Tv show in Sweden, but will that reach the population who can buy my your services?

3. Make sure the show airs at the prime time to reach your audience. Does your audience watch Tv as they eat breakfast, or at 2 in the morning when they can't sleep?

4. Make sure you get copies of the video to use in any way you want. You will want to get the most value you can out of this video. In addition, it will be much higher quality than anyone you can do with your Mac and a green screen.

Once the interview airs, make sure you make the most of segments. For example:

1. Link to the videos from your website.

2. Publicize the fact you were on Tv, especially if you signed a long-term contract and you are now the expert correspondent for the show on your definite topic.

Remember, not every person sees every small of every lesson of every Tv show (or newspaper for that matter). You must promote your appearances to the population who don't watch Tv or read newspapers or who happened to be working at the time the show aired.

The old newspaper editor in me cringes at the belief of paying to be on Tv and the station not labeling this as a pay-for-play event. But they didn't ask me for my opinion. I'm just showing you how to maximize your opportunities in this new age of media when all the rules seem to be changing.

1. It's quick and easy to load fasteners. One of the main improvements on this nail gun over old models is the side-loading feature. You no longer have to put up with the awkward bottom-loading mechanism to enjoy the performance of a Hitachi.

2. It is fast and reliable. Firing three nails per second, the piston has pneumatic feed and return. That allows it to drive through tar build-ups on the feed mechanism, unlike some of the competition which rely on a spring return. That gives you a faster nailing cycle and less jamming.

3. The Hitachi has a long-lasting design. From the carbide tips on the nose of the tool, to the tough metal body and steel body shields, this gun has "body armor" to minimize wear from hard use and shingle abrasion. It also has rubber pads on the body shields to minimize slippage on steep roofs.

4. It has assistance available. As good as it is, nothing lasts forever. But Hitachi has a dependable assistance network to get you back up and running fast.

5. It's infinitely adjustable. Unlike some other nail guns, which have a stepped exposure gauge, the Hitachi gauge can be set to any exposure. You can use it for installing roof shingles that perfectly match the exposure of shingles driven with other nail guns, regardless of the brand.

6. It's easy on You. At just 5.5 pounds the Hitachi is one of the lightest roofing nail guns on the market. This model also has a durable rubber grip handle. These two features make a tough job a tiny easier.

7. It's easy on your wallet. There was a time when the Hitachi was one of the most expensive roofing nail guns. Over the years, increased competition has driven the price down, while produce improvements have improved the stamina of the gun. The succeed is a long-lasting tool which is a great value.

Equipment for Installing Roof Shingles -- Your Compressor

I've used a lot of distinct compressors over the years, but my beloved is a Porter-Cable Model C2002-Wk. Here's why...

First off, it's galvanic so you don't have to listen to a loud gas machine running all day. The homeowners and neighbors will appreciate that as well. And unlike gas compressors, this type doesn't run constantly. It turns on while you are installing roof shingles, then shuts off until the pressure switch turns it back on again.

You also don't have to screw colse to with gas motors that won't start because of a bad spark plug, flooded carb or whatever. And you don't have to buy gas or worry about running out.

Electric compressors are also a lot lighter than the gas-powered ones. This one weighs just 34 pounds, which is light adequate for even an old guy like me to drag up on the roof. Try that with a gas compressor.

It is also oil-less which is the only kind to have if you ever have to set it on a sloped roof. And you never have an oily mess on your shingles or the homeowners' driveway.

This Porter-Cable Model puts out all the pressure you need for a roofing nailer and has a six gallon air tank, so it is not running constantly.

Most of all, I'm happy with the price. It's not only the best compressor I've ever had, it's the cheapest.

Just be aware of its limitations. It puts out 3.5 cubic feet of air per minute, which is fine for one roofing nailer, but not beyond doubt adequate for two. Also, like all "pancake type" compressors, it's a tiny top heavy. Make sure it is acquire in your truck, or it will go tumbling when you hit the brakes.

Equipment for Installing Roof Shingles -- Your Cords and Hoses

Ideally, you want your compressor plugged directly into an electrical outlet. Extension cords sell out the power ready to the motor, which can succeed in premature failure. That setup works just fine for many jobs, especially if you have an outlet on both sides of the house you can use.

But sometimes you need an extension cord. I've found that 100 feet of cord will position the compressor for installing roof shingles just about anywhere I want it. That's also long adequate to power my saws and drills on the roof. But get two heavy duty 50-footers so you keep the distance to the outlet as short as possible and minimize the power drop.

As far as your air hose, it's best to have a one-piece hundred footer, so there are no connections to hang up on stuff as you drag the hose over the roof. It's not just the irritation factor either. I've nailed my fingers twice over the years when my hose got hung up on something, redirecting the nailgun at my hand.

1/4" hose works fine for one nailgun and is easier to cope than a 3/8".

Be sure to have a spare hose and/or a repair kit to fix hoses and fittings that suddenly start hissing air. The compressor above comes with a 25-foot hose, which is generally too short for roofing, but it could be helpful as a backup to get you through the day.

With a hundred feet of extension cord and a hundred feet of air hose, you can shingle just about anything!

12 Baseball and Softball Batting Cage Buying Tips

There are some basic points that you must know before buying a batting cage. When you buy a batting cage you are production an speculation that should contribute you with years and years of top quality batting practice. Here I discuss what I believe are the 12 most leading things to reconsider when you purchase your home, team, school or backyard batting cage. Remember these batting cage buying basics:

1. Batting cages nets come in a range of sizes but they are all rectangles. The net itself must have quadrilateral corners to save building time and cost. The sizes of a cage vary with the length, width, and height of the netting. Be meticulous about buying cages that are too narrow. These cages do not allow older batters to take a comfortable swing and finish. The greater the width and height of the batting cage, the great sensation a batter has when a ball is hit. The wider and higher cages allow the batter to read the path of the ball when it comes off the bat. A short and narrow cage tends to "smother" a hitter. The higher and wider cages are also safer for the coach, player or parent throwing batting practice.

50 Ft Usb Cable Extension

2. Batting cage netting is most ordinarily available in three common twine sizes which are #21, #36, and #42. The lower the number, the smaller the twine used in building and the lighter-weight the cage will be. Heavy-duty cages such as the #42 great withstand the elements of time and use therefore they offer more durableness and added years of use.

3. Batting cages are most often available in black. The twine is dyed black and Uv is added to the netting. Black cages seem to last longer and in my opinion, they look better.

4. When you buy a batting cage do not just reconsider the cost of the cage, but you must also suspect the cost of shipping. Many clubs have shipping managers that contribute you with an added service of securing the bottom shipping cost possible.

5. All cages wish a retain structure from which the cage will be hung. The longer the cage, the more retain sections that will be required to hold it in place. The smaller and more light-weight a batting cage is, the less retain structure it must have. You can plan on putting a retain section at both ends and every 20 feet, if you want your cage to be hung adequately without a lot of droop. So a batting cage60 feet long would wish at least 4 supports for a heavy-duty net and you may get by with three supports for a light-weight net. You may also need cable or heavy duty rope suspended between your supports to maximize cage support.

6. You can not fit your space to the batting cage. You must fit your batting cage to the space you have available. Step off you or portion the area you have available. Make sure to order a batting cage that will best suit your available space. Do not allow space to deter your commitment to a batting cage purchase. Small cages in the 35, 40, and 50 foot lengths are long enough to allow great batting convention work.

7. Your chosen area must be level and it must drain well. If you can afford the further cost, you may want to add a floor to your cage. There are two materials that make a great floor. Cement or concrete is the most costly. You may want to cover your hitting zone with indoor-outdoor carpet to expand the life of your leather baseballs. If you use rubber pitching motor balls in a pitching machine, they will withstand the abrasive properties of the cement cage floor. an additional one great floor alternative is to use weather treated 2 x 4s to build a raised floor. You will border all sides and ends of your batting cage floor with the 2x4s and stake them into place. You will then fill the inside floor area with a ordinarily used infield material, crushed stone. This provides a raised dry hitting face that will offer a safe and less abrasive face upon which to hit.

8. You are going to need to purchase a protection L-screen to safe the pitchers throwing batting practice. Make sure that your L-screen is a sock style made of at least #42 netting to insure that it will withstand the heavy-duty abuse it will be subjected to. A quadrilateral protective screen is also a great speculation to reconsider if you will be using a pitching motor often. There are screens specially designed to safe the someone operating the pitching machine.

9. You will need a plate for batter and pitcher reference during batting practice. The pitcher will use the plate to throw the discrete pitch locations and the batter will use it to adjust to safe bet situational hitting drills. If your cage has a favorable floor, you may want to paint a plate and batters box to add a much appreciated feature.

10. You will need a power source if you have plans to light your cage and to use a pitching machine. Make sure that you can reach a source with extension cords or run a permanent source if you can do so safely.

11. If you have further questions or need further assistance, shop with a enterprise that takes orders by phone. This allows your to ask questions and get answers. Depending on the description and details listed on a website, may cause you to order a cage that is not favorable for your needs. Most reputable batting cage clubs have toll-free phone numbers and a staff available during enterprise hours to offer you advice and information before you buy.

12. For many families the best and most user-friendly and trouble-free coming to buying a batting cage is to buy a complete batting cage package. These packages include the net size and weight of your option and a batting cage frame specifically designed to match the net. These packages are easy to assemble. Most of these batting cage packages can be assembled by two persons with about 2 hours of work. These batting cage packages can categorically be taken down in the off-season and stored if there is a need to do so. Many of these packages include all things you need together with the protection "L" screen. When the box arrives, all you have to do is determined read and follow the step-by-step instructions to assemble your new batting cage.

Bnc Connector - What Is It Meant For?

Bnc connector is a radio frequency spectrum and can be adapted as a power line to join electronic tools. There are some versions of Bnc connectors in the shop at this time. Some of them are Tnc and triaxial connectors to name a few.

The Bnc connector also known as Bayonet Neill-Concelman or is a Radio Frequency spectrum (Rf) connector adapted as coaxial wire, is bascially adapted to connect a television or a radio and other radio-amplitude electronic equipment. It is adapted in frequencies which are below 3 Ghz. The connector is used for Rf signal connections. It is an option to the Rca connector when used for composite video on mainstream video devices, although large buyer electronic devices with Rca jacks are ordinarily used with Bnc-only video appliances via easy adapter. Bnc connectors are generally used on 10base2 thin Ethernet networks, both on chain interactions and network cards. The Tnc (threaded) connector is mostly adapted for approved performances at higher frequencies than adapted with the Bnc connector.

50 Ft Usb Cable Extension

The name of the connector is derived from the collaboration of two things. They are listed as below:

1)The connecting mechanics that has been employed behind the working of the connector
2)The names of the two inventors of the device. Those two inventors were Carl Concelman and Paul Neill, both of whom worked in the Bell Labs. Their main purpose was to design a connector that used the principle of bayonet mount mechanism for locking.

The connector was a practical experiment, based on the research of Octavio M. Salati. Neill and Concelman perfected an earlier design and created a connector that has been adapted in some applications over the last some decades. It has been organized to process both the serial digital inter-face and the analog video broadcast. It is also capable of audio-interface managing transmissions.

As mentioned before the Bnc connector is used for Rf signal connections, in digital and analog video broadcast. Apart from that, it is beneficial for aviation electronics, amateur radio antenna connections and other types of electronic test devices and so on. They exist in 50 and 75 ohm versions. During its early days, all the connectors were 50 ohm and were joined together with dissimilar cables and the differences in the wires were not very noticeable at a lower amplitude. The newer ones, i.e., the 75 ohm class may be recognized by the absent or the reduced dielectric in the mating ends. The dissimilar wires can be mated with each other, although the differences may lead to signal reflections. The 75 ohm connectors are mostly used for Ds3 Telco central office applications and are also used in video and 50 ohm is used for Rf and data.

There are dissimilar types of connectors which are similar to Bnc connector. They are briefly listed as follows:

A tiny version of Bnc, known as Tnc is also available in the market. It is excellent to Bnc and at microwave frequencies
Triaxial Bnc connector, which was mostly adapted in Nim electronics. These have been substituted by Lemo connectors which permit higher density.
In Ussr, the connectors were replicated as Sr-75 which is Russian:-75 and Sr-50 which is Russian: -50.

The Universal Printer Usb Cable

Have you ever thought about what a practical and suitable gismo a Printer Usb cable, or any universal connecting cable indeed is? Without this cord to associate your computer to external devices like the iPod or any digital camera, many of the technology tools we use would have minute value.

An often unconsidered highlight of the Usb cord is compatibility with manifold operating systems. Universal connecting cables are supported by all systems made today. Only older systems may deviate from this standard.

50 Ft Usb Cable Extension

Although compatible with modern Os systems, some devices may wish some setup or facility of drivers to introduce it to the computer. Usb is available for every laptop, desktop, or printer, and eliminates the need for additional power supply.

Because of this, costs are reduced on external accessories, and some peripheral devices can be linked at the same time, up to the maximum reserved bandwidth.

A converter cable permits a printer to be linked to the Usb port, enabling rapid data transport, far beyond the speed of a typical parallel printer port.

Printer cables may need to operate with specific ports on peripherals. For converting the signal from the printer Usb cable to a parallel port, a specific converter cord can be purchased. Sabrent makes a model which communicates with Pc's and Mac's, desktop or notebook.

A converter cable permits a parallel printer to be linked to the Usb port, enabling rapid data transport, far beyond the speed of a typical printer port. This reduces time spent finishing a job, by getting it to the printer faster.

A basic ten dollar universal cable is sufficient for most printing jobs, however. A coarse example would be a 2.0 universal extension with exchange rates as high as 480 Megabytes per second. This is the generally seen six foot gismo in assorted colors, running from computer to printer, and hard drive to printer, depending on the application.

How To Get Free Internet Service

· Open-Access: Some of you may have heard of open-access and closed-access WIFI internet service. An open-access WIFI internet service is the one we are looking for. Almost all hotels and high end restaurants have this type of free WIFI service. Almost all libraries and universities have free open-access internet service (WIFI). We can get access to these WIFI internet services 24-7 or for as long as they are open.

· Closed-Access: Typically, these businesses and government buildings will also have a closed- access WIFI connection. You will need a security code or WEP Key to gain access. This connection is secured and only accessible to employees who have the security code or WEP Key. There are WEP key generators. But we won't need them. There are plenty of free WIFI services available. These are the ones that we want.

50 Ft. Usb Cables

· Getting Connected: Most people will have at least 5-10 free Open-Access WIFI internet services available to them with in a 5-10 mile radius of their residence and business. I am going to show you how to get access to these free internet connections.

· Finding Available Connections: You should go around your area with a WIFI laptop and check for available connections. Look for a minimum of five Open-Access points with line of sight to your intended location.

· Overcoming The Signal Limitations: The problem with all WIFI internet cards to date is signal limitations. The average signal radius of PCI WIFI internet card to date is about 30 to 60 feet. There are some that have internal boosters. But, none of them will get you the king of signal distance that we are looking for, 5-10 miles.

· WIFI Boosters: These long distance WIFI boosters are legal as long as they have an FCC number. You can make your make your own WIFI booster. WIFI boosters are not illegal to make. You can use them conspicuously. The laws revolved around WIFI are not as strict as with other radio frequencies, according to my licensed radio engineer associate. The laws are enforced when we sell these WIFI boosters or inventions that we make available to the general public with out an FCC number. Each invention (WIFI BOOSTER) needs its' own FCC number before it can be sold legally on the open market.

· Finding the Right Booster: Most FCC approved boosters will show their signal range marked on the box or in the instructions manuals. You can always ask the seller of the product. He'll be glad to tell you. You can find FCC approved WIFI boosters on Ebay ranging between -9 dollars. Make sure you get one with a 5-10 mile range.

· A Complete System: Complete systems include a WIFI booster antenna a 30 to 50 foot cable, a repeater and a PCI or USB WIFI adapter with antenna connection. eBay prices for complete system range from 0-0 dollars.

Looking for a portable photo printer that gives you everything you are looking for at a comparable price that doesn't take up much space? It is easy to drop a load of cash on a printer because we are looking for so much from printers now days.

The Canon PIXMA ip100 has the smallest footprint you will find in a portable photo printer that is still capable of printing an 8 1/2 x 11 inch photo. The dimensions are 12.7 x 7.2 and 2.4 inches tall, and weighs about 4.4 lbs, so it is very portable but not pocket sized. It uses a 5-color ink system that lets you create some pretty amazing photos at 9600 x 2400 color dpi resolution. It has the highest resolution of the portable photo printers and has a high print speed also. Black and white prints at 20 pages per minute and color at 14 pages per minute. Another very cool quality about this printer in that you have a few communication options. The PIXMA ip100 has a built-in infrared port for printing with cell phones, a USB PictBridge interface for printing directly from your camera, and an optional blue tooth that can communicate directly with your camera. It's ability to talk directly to your camera or cell phone makes it much more portable. No need to lug around your laptop, and no need to find a photo lab. Great for instant proofs for photographers, you can give your client proofs on the shoot. No need to wait days just for your proofs, and they are lab quality. It does still have the ability to print from your computer if that is how you want to use it, and some people use it to replace their home printer altogether. It is just nice to have options. The small foot print comes in handy for limited work spaces, and it isn't going to take up half of your desk. It is great for scrap booking, you can print what you want when you want it and it takes up very little of your work space. No need to worry about a short battery life. The optional battery lasts for about 290 sheets. The best thing about this photo printer is that is costs about $50 less that comparable printer, it prints faster, and at a higher quality. Who can afford to throw money away right now.

The Canon ip100 portable photo printer is a little dynamo. It has a great price, it is a great size, and it creates great prints. The only down side to it is that there is no digital card reader on the unit, but with the other features I hardly notice it.

Top 10 Things Copier Reps Don't Tell You When You Are Purchasing a Copier

I sell copiers. It is a tough job, but someone has to do it. When you are looking for a copier, I am one of the options you would have to fulfill your needs. I have found, often the people purchasing copiers aren't really educated, and it would be nice if everyone knew how to really evaluate their needs more effectively. I know many reps would not be excited if this information was in your hands, but I am happy to get this to you because I am more used to selling printers and I don't like feeling like I am ripping a person off to make a commission. So, without further fanfare, here are some things to be on the lookout for.

10) Someone who talks only of the cost per print on a copier is probably hoping you won't notice the high purchase price. If the conversation is only that of how much a click costs, but the equipment isn't mentioned, be nervous.

50 Ft. Usb Cables

9) Check out how many Preventative Maintenance PM calls a machine needs. If it needs more than 6 in a year, that's bad. There are some which only need 1 call per year. You don't want the machine having a technician there every month if it isn't necessary, do you?

8) Know what you will ACTUALLY use. A stapling feature is nice, but if you use it 10 time a month... is it really worth the extra ,200 in costs?

7) Scan to E mail and other features is becoming more common, you should make sure these come standard.

6) If you make less than 10,000 copies a month, you should spend less than ,000 for a copier... unless you desperately need 11 X 17 paper capability.

5) Just because you like your rep, don't assume they know what their doing from just a visit and a quick analysis. If they don't ask to watch your actual workflow, that's a bad sign.

4) Color copiers, with the exception of super high end ones, are far at color than even a ,000 printer like the Ricoh Sp C410DN or the Xerox 8560. If you need it for high quality graphics, go big or use a separate device. If you go big, you should print more than 5,000 pages a month.

3) Always sign up for your minimum using, at the most, 75% of your average month. Make sure overage charges are in line with the base charges. If they are far higher, negotiate for the same pricing. Trust me, we want to sell the copier and will bend if it is crucial to do so!

2) Do a demo. Are you really going to spend ,000 without seeing it do the kinds of jobs you want to run?

1) When you work out your cost per print, make sure to include any maintenance costs as well as the copier costs. Often you'll find if your volume is under 10,000 pages per month... you would be better served with a copier like the Lexmark X644e or the Xerox 4150 (both in the 45-50 page per minute range) and start at about ,500. The cost per print on these are about $.011 to $.015 per print. If you had a big iron copier because it was $.007 per click, you'd need to make approximately 1,000,000 prints before you made up the difference between the costs of the machines. If you have it for 5 years, that works out to be about 16,500 pages a month. This is why it is good to know how much you are wanting to do and what you want to do.

I hope this helps and please contact me if you need a copier or printers!

Choosing The Proper TV Screen Size

The unit must be placed close to an energy outlet for convenience and tucking the cables and wires out of sight. A normal seating placement of a TV screen should be close to three to six time the screens size of width for the most enjoyable viewing pleasure.

The units of measurement of the horizontal and vertical proportion of a TV screen are called its aspect ratio. Aspect ratio relates to the shape of the screen. For traditional televisions, this is 4:3 as with wide screen TV's the aspect ratio is 16:9.

50 Ft. Usb Cables

A wide screen TV has the shape much like a movie screen, which creates the feel of watching from a movie theater.

Wide screens are of course more expensive, and have an inclination to distort images that are intended for normal sizes of television screens. Different modes are available on wide screen TV's so check with the manufacturer to experiment with your viewing screen option modes.

Entertainment centers can be limiting of size if you are planning for a large size television. When shopping for a TV that will fit into an entertainment center, remember to allow measurements for the screens size of height, weight, depth and width.

There should also be room left for proper ventilation for TV's, which rest on entertainment centers. Be sure to leave at the very least 3 inches at the top and sides of the TV screen and enough room to attach speakers if you so choose.

Then there is also the advantage of buying a flat screen TV that can be mounted onto the walls of your home or office. Wall mounted TV screens give you the advantage of great entertainment and more room to move around in your home.

Normally a television screen measuring 27 inches and less are always a good choice for home entertainment viewing. Keeping the viewing distance proportioned to the TV screen size aids in the viewing pleasure experience.

Choose the screen size based on the distance of viewing the television screen. Being to close or to far away will affect your view of the TV screen.

The approximate recommendations of screen size and sitting position are 5 to 10 feet for viewing 32 to 37 inch screens. 10 to 15 feet for viewing 42 inch television screens. 7 to 17 feet for viewing a 50-inch television screen. Moreover, measurement of feet from viewing a larger size screen should be 15 or better in length.

Remember the higher the resolution the more expensive the price of a flat screen television.

Taking the time for measurements before purchase will be sure to have you bringing home an enjoyable screen size that you will be comfortable with for years to come.

Corning Cable Systems (also called CCS) provides a very complete fiber cable product line for enterprise networks. Enterprise fiber network market includes universities, businesses, medical compuses, and more. Application types vary a lot from indoor to outdoor. So let's dive into the types of fiber cables Corning provides in this market.

Corning's Indoor Fiber Cables for Enterprise Networks

50 Ft. Usb Cables

a) Indoor Tight Buffered Fiber Cable

Corning's MIC Riser Cables are designed for use in riser and general purpose environments for intrabuilding backbone and horizontal installations. These multi-fiber cables use 900 µm TBII Buffered Fibers which makes easy, consistent stripping and facilitate termination. This cable has a dielectric central member, the fibers are surrounded by dielectric strength members and protected by a flame-retardant outer jacket. The all-dielectric cable construction requires no grounding or bonding, making these cables ideal for routing inside buildings including riser shafts, to the telecommunications rooms and workstations.

b) Indoor Ribbon Fiber Cable

Corning's Ribbon Plenum Cables are designed for use in plenum, riser and general purpose environments for intrabuilding backbone installations and for high-fiber-count data centers. These cables consist of 2 to 216 fibers organized into 12-fiber ribbons inside a central tube. Dielectric strength members provide tensile strength while a specially formulated flame-retardant outer jacket allows the design to meet the requirements of the NFPA 262 flame test.

c) Indoor Loose Tube Fiber Cable

Corning's MIC 250 Cables utilize 250 µm color-coded optical fibers, surrounded by dielectric strength members with a flexible, flameretardant outer jacket. These cables are very good for creating multi-fiber preconnectorized assemblies as the 12-fiber groupings enable compatibility with multi-fiber connectors. The flexible, flame-retardant jacket and non-preferential bend axis allow installation in space-constrained areas and the all-dielectric cable construction requires no grounding or bonding. These cables come in 62.5 µm, 50 µm and single-mode versions, including Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet versions.

d) Indoor Interconnect

Corning's Zipcord Riser Cables are designed for interconnect applications. Two 900 µm tight buffered fibers are surrounded by aramid yarn dielectric strength members and a flame-retardant jacket. This cable design offers mechanical durability and flame resistance that meets UL-1666 requirements for riser and general building applications. This cable also meets requirements of the National Electric Code (NEC) Article 770 and the cables are OFNR and CSA FT-4 listed.

Corning's Outdoor Fiber Cables for Enterprise Networks

a) Outdoor Loose Tube

Corning's ALTOS All-Dielectric Gel-Free Cables are designed for outdoor and limited indoor use for campus backbones in lashed aerial and duct installations. The loose tube gel-free design is waterblocked using water-swellable materials. The flexible buffer tubes can be routed in closures and the SZ-stranded, loose tube design isolates fibers from installation and environmental rigors while allowing midspan access.

The all-dielectric cable construction requires no bonding or grounding and these cables have a medium-density polyethylene jacket that is rugged, durable and easy to strip. A variety of fiber types are available including 62.5 µm, 50 µm, single-mode and hybrid versions, as well as fibers with Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance.

b) Outdoor Single Tube

Corning's SST-Drop Dielectric Cables offer installation of standard ALTOS Cables in a single-tube design. The dielectric version doesn't require bonding and grounding. The cables are RDUP listed (formerly RUS) and offer very good crush resistance.

c) Outdoor Ribbon

Corning Cable Systems SST-Ribbon Gel-Free Cables introduces high-fiber-count gel-free cables. It provides up to 432 fibers in a compact design, the coupling features ensure the ribbon stack and cable act as one unit, providing long-term reliability in aerial, duct and direct-buried applications. These features also minimize ribbon movement in situations where cable vibration may occur.

d) Outdoor Tight Buffered

Corning's tactical fiber optic cable is for routing in all environments or conditions between buildings and modular telecommunications gear for communications, data or video. Applications include military mobile communications (temporary or permanent communication systems), traffic and video control (optical feeds in rugged environments), broadcast video (temporary or permanent setups at events), and industrial or other harsh environments (extreme conditions such as abrasive or chemical atmospheres and high crush environments).

ABC: Digital Dictation

According to Dictaphone®, in 1952 recorded dictation itself was established as "a time saver over handwriting and stenography among attorneys, physicians and other professionals". In fact, it was in 1973 that the first mini-cassette recorder was marketed, making analog dictation the technological equivalent of listening to music on an 8 track tape!

There are several options to capture dictation files, once you have decided to upgrade. They include:

50 Ft. Usb Cables

I. TELEPHONIC OR DIAL IN DICTATION

A toll free number is dialed, a pass code punched in and work is dictated into the receiver or speaker of a standard telephone, using the key pad to control the recording functions (play, rewind, insert, etc.). Upon completion of the call, the digital file created is routed through the internet to a secretary, virtual assistant or transcription company.

Dial in dictation has many benefits, including:

no capital expenditure for equipment or software;

no learning curve for portable recorder or dictation software;

24 hour service availability;

ability to dictate from anywhere there is a phone, including while traveling;

works as well for single professionals as it does for large corporations.

II. PORTABLE RECORDERS

Portable digital recorders can be located in any electronics or office supply store, catalog or website. They range in price from as little as $50.00 to 0.00 and up. Along with the recorder, software is provided for the transfer of the digital file created by the unit to a computer, generally through a USB cable or a cradle. A user guide and software included with the recorder usually contain instructions and a tutorial.

Dictating is fairly straight forward and quite similar to an analog (tape) recorder. When purchasing a unit, note button size, shape and location. Be certain that the unit is not so small, or button placement so awkward that it is uncomfortable to use. Also be certain that the recorder has all the functions needed. Some less expensive models, for instance, do not have the ability to insert - that quick rewind to go over what you just said to say it better. Research all the model's functions before you purchase!

Once a digital file is created and uploaded to a PC, it is ready to be sent through a company's network, direct upload to a transcription service provider or over the internet to a virtual assistant. Many portable software units require the purchase of separate transcription software and equipment such as a foot pedal.

III. DIGITAL DICTATION SOFTWARE

As with many types of software, development of digital dictation applications range from basic to the extremely comprehensive and industry specific. Most dictation software has a free trial period (usually thirty days) and can be downloaded directly from a developer's website. In a nutshell, digital dictation software turns a computer's microphone, speakers, mouse and monitor into a dictation machine. Just as with a portable unit, when the file is complete, it is ready for transfer through your company's network or over the internet to your transcription provider.

Should you invest in a portable recorder, PC-based software, or use a transcription service and toll free number? Each situation is unique and requires consideration of many factors, including your company's needs, size, volume of work and technology comfort level.

Connect a TV to Your Laptop to Watch Netflix Movies Online

Many laptops, and some desktop Windows PC's include a special socket that connects to most TV sets.

If you have S-Video sockets on both devices, buy a cable. A 12-foot long cable sells for under on eBay or Amazon.com. The cable will cost considerably more if you buy it at a local store ( to $50+).

50 Ft. Usb Cables

The S-Video socket is round, has two pins on the left side, two pins on the right side, and keyways at the top and bottom. If you'd like to see a photo, go to images.google.com and search for s-video.

If you have a desktop PC, inspect the cards and sockets on the PC (front and back). If your desktop PC has a powerful video card, it's more likely to have what you need.

Plug the cable into both devices. Turn on the TV and switch it to the Video Input that matches the socket (a label near the socket tells you which Input).

You must reboot the PC. Windows "finds" the TV during Windows launch. The TV may flicker a few times. You cannot usually add a TV or second monitor while Windows is running.

Next, we'll configure the monitors so Windows has a Desktop that's double the width of your current Desktop.

Right-click on a blank area of your Windows Desktop and you'll get a menu. Click on Properties (or Personalize), then click the (Display) Settings tab.

Click on the icon of Monitor No. 2 and you should get a message asking if you wish to Enable it. Click Yes.

Change the resolution on both monitors to 800 x 600. You can try higher resolutions, but they may not work.

Enable the check box named "Extend my Windows Desktop to This Monitor." Click Apply or OK.

If everything is in place, you should see your ordinary Desktop and icons on your laptop monitor, and a copy of your Desktop background without any icons on the TV set. Your Windows Desktop now extends across both monitors. Test by moving your mouse pointer to the TV set.

Simpler video cards don't have the resources to carry colors, so the second monitor may be Black & White. Try another PC, or settle for B&W, or you can try choosing fewer Colors.

If the TV set is to the left of your laptop, click and drag the #2 monitor icon so it's to the left of the #1 icon, just to avoid confusion.

Launch your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome) and go to the Netflix (or other) website. Choose the movie you'll Play online. Make sure your browser is not "full-screen" -- click the little box/double-box at the top right corner to make your browser slightly smaller than full-screen. Now you can click and drag the top of the browser to one side and drop it on the TV set. Click the box/double-box and it will expand to full-screen on the TV.

Click "Full Screen" in the bottom right corner of the Netflix player to get rid of the menus and backgrounds. Click the center of the screen to begin Play. Move the mouse to the laptop Desktop to make the controls disappear. If you have nice speakers, connect them through the headphone jack of your laptop to obtain richer audio. You may also listen through headphones, or a double-headphone jack (Radio Shack, ).

Enjoy your movie.

If the Screen Saver pops up, right-click on a blank area of the laptop desktop, click Properties, and set the screen saver to 200 minutes. Remember to change it back when you're done.

To Pause your movie, point the mouse to the TV set. You'll get a Play/Pause button on the bottom left corner, and a scroll bar that shows the film's progress.

To drag the browser back to the laptop monitor, you'll have to click the box/double-box to make it less than full screen. You can also launch another instance of your browser so you'll have one on each Desktop/monitor.
